The Youth.

This week flew by, i honestly don´t know what happened right now. This week was harder then the rest because of a party they call carnival here,  this party is for 5 days and nobody works during these 5 days, everything is closed and you see nobody. When I say nobody i mean nobody, we couldn´t even find the dogs in the street because I´m pretty sure they were at the beach with all the people.

But the good part about this party is that for 5 days all the teens in the ward leave for a activty called fsy, there they go to learn the gosple and it changes people in just 5 days. We helped them out when they had to leave and they didn´t want to go but their parents forced them to go, and we helped them out when they got back and it was funny to see the change where they were crying not wanting to leave fsy. After we had fast and testimony meeting for sunday, and before the sacroment elder luz and i help out with teaching the youth in this branch, and invited them to share their testimony on what happend during these 5 days, and when they all bore testimoney everybody started crying because the spirt was so strong because of these young kids preparing for a mission.

After this little experiance Elder luz and I started talking about this and about the mission and how it´s the same thing, during these 5 days the youth felt the spirt of our father in heaven and the love he has for us in our lifes and when it came time to leave they didn´t want to leave.

it´s the same thing here while on the mission, here you feel the spirt every day, and you just focus on sharing this message to everyone and helping everyone else you don´t have time to think about yourself, The first couple of months are hard, you miss home and you are in a whole new place, but there comes a point where it feels normal, and you don´t want to leave. I love this opportunity to serve the Lord, and love what i do out here, It´s hard of course but it´s worth every second.
