Crazy weekend

Wow did a lot happen this week out here in Brazil, we started off the week pretty normal with just putting in as much work as we could and then just about everything happened in three days. So we will go to the play book really fast and replay what happened in these three days.
On Saturday we had a big meeting with all the missionarys here and all the missionarys in the mission above us to meet one Apostle, Elder Christoferson. Let me tell you this was one great experiance to have, he also had one of the 70 with him and some others to help us out and help us learn a lot more about how to serve as a better missionary. In one of the talks the speaker said one thing i really like a lot, he said "Our success in life is going from failure to failure with Ethusiam" and talked a lot about how in our mission we are going to have a lot of failure, a lot of hard times and how we need to keep the same way we started, with a smile on our face and as much effort as we can. After we had a great Q&A with Elder Christoferson where after he bore testimony of our Savoior and the Spirt was so strong at this moment there wasn´t any way you couldnt feel it.
After on Sunday Elder luz got a phone call saying that he is going to be leaving the area, so we spent the day saying good bye to everyone and letting everyone know and preaparing to for him to leave, and then Presdient Cruz called and said that I´m going to be training a new missinoary this transfer which is really big news that i didn´t expect to have happen for a lot time.
So that just leaves us with today where I had to leave my area in Canguçu for a little bit to arrive here in Porto Alegre where they will be training us tomrrow on what we need to do and everything and then on Wensday I´ll find out who I´ll be training and go back to Canguçu.

The Youth.

This week flew by, i honestly don´t know what happened right now. This week was harder then the rest because of a party they call carnival here,  this party is for 5 days and nobody works during these 5 days, everything is closed and you see nobody. When I say nobody i mean nobody, we couldn´t even find the dogs in the street because I´m pretty sure they were at the beach with all the people.

But the good part about this party is that for 5 days all the teens in the ward leave for a activty called fsy, there they go to learn the gosple and it changes people in just 5 days. We helped them out when they had to leave and they didn´t want to go but their parents forced them to go, and we helped them out when they got back and it was funny to see the change where they were crying not wanting to leave fsy. After we had fast and testimony meeting for sunday, and before the sacroment elder luz and i help out with teaching the youth in this branch, and invited them to share their testimony on what happend during these 5 days, and when they all bore testimoney everybody started crying because the spirt was so strong because of these young kids preparing for a mission.

After this little experiance Elder luz and I started talking about this and about the mission and how it´s the same thing, during these 5 days the youth felt the spirt of our father in heaven and the love he has for us in our lifes and when it came time to leave they didn´t want to leave.

it´s the same thing here while on the mission, here you feel the spirt every day, and you just focus on sharing this message to everyone and helping everyone else you don´t have time to think about yourself, The first couple of months are hard, you miss home and you are in a whole new place, but there comes a point where it feels normal, and you don´t want to leave. I love this opportunity to serve the Lord, and love what i do out here, It´s hard of course but it´s worth every second.
