The good old life

This week was a good week as always, this doesn´t mean that it wasn´t a rough week, but it´s just a good time out here in Brazil!

We had a good zone conference this week where we talked about all the changes that are happing with what we have to mark down and pass down to our distric leaders and other leaders, these are called indicador-chaves. We went from having 11 here to just haveing 5, which is weird. It chaged just about everything on how we work, and then after we had a training from our amazing presidente cruz we have here. During part of the training he talked about the blessing we get when we are obient to the rules, and he used a really cool phrase. in Portugues you have two words that is the same but has a little difference, it´s cem and sem. Cem means 100 and Sem means no pretty much, but you say the words the same, and he said this when you are obident to the rules you receive cem of the blessing, but when you are disobident to the rules you recive sem blessing. We are all under a cloud of blessing in our lives, and when we are obident to the rules we are going to recive cem of the blessing but when we don´t follow the rules we go into the shade and recive sem blessing.

It´s a lot different when he said it in portugues but i hope you guys get the pictures. It was honeslty so cool when he said it.

What´s up!

This new area is honestly amazing right now. It´s rough because you are walking up a mountain or walking down the mountain at all times and are just pouring in sweat when you get to where you need to be, but honestly so many people want to hear our message, and we are just finding so many people to teach this week.

Right before I came to this area they had just cut all the peolple they were teaching because nobody was making progress and after a training we had they told them to cut everyone and start over. So we spent the week trying to find people to teach, and that means looking at one street and then pretty much knocking on every door until somebody says yes. It also means a lot of peolple are going to say no and you´re going to be in the sun a lot at the hottest part of the day. But did it pay off for us this week, we found a ton of new people to teach and a lot of familys with a lot of potiecial.

We taught one lesson where the son kept asking us question and each time he asked a question it was the next thing we were going to talk about with them. It was one of the smoothest lessons I´ve taught while I´ve been out here and we just let the spirt work and just open up our mouths and let spirt talk for us, It was one great lesson.

On Saturday we ran into the Bisop here and he look at me and the other new missionary and just said alright tomorrow I need you to to give a talk that´s 10 to 15 mintues long. This is right after lunch right before we get to to work, so sunday came quick and i had to give my first talk in portugues without any time to prepare anything and had to go talk, It went pretty good though, a lilttle nerve racking but turned out to be pretty good. My comp said it happens a lot where we show up to church and the Bisop looks at us for a talk and we have to do it pretty much every month sometimes twice for every month. So pretty much after this area you learn to give a talk at any time about anything.

The week of transfers.

Wow was this week a crazy one where honelty I don´t know where the time went. It was the week of transfers and during the last week of transfers that´s all anyone talks about and also it´s when all the baptizems happen for us.

Me and Elder Menezes had the chance to complete a family in the church. We first baptized Leo a while back and then his sister Requel and last Saturday we had the chance to baptize their mom Kelly!! It was amazing to do because now they have a chance to prepare for the temple and be sealed toghther!

After the baptizes we got the phone call that I would be leaving Oblisco my first and only area in the field and was sad to leave honestly. We went around on Sunday to say goodbye to the people in the ward and just people that I´ve grown close to over these past couple of weeks which was hard to do. Honeslty they helped me so much it´s hard to leave, but I know that the lord needs me here in my new area.

As far as the new area I´m in a place called congo sul, just about a hour from my other area, and we went from everything being flat to a place on a hill. Everything is uphill or down hill now so this area will be a work out for me. I´m with Elder Luz, he was in the same distic in the ctm as my other comp Elder Menzez so he said a lot of good things about it so this should be a good transfer.
