Right before I came
to this area they had just cut all the peolple they were teaching
because nobody was making progress and after a training we had they told
them to cut everyone and start over. So we spent the week trying to
find people to teach, and that means looking at one street and then
pretty much knocking on every door until somebody says yes. It also
means a lot of peolple are going to say no and you´re going to be in the
sun a lot at the hottest part of the day. But did it pay off for us
this week, we found a ton of new people to teach and a lot of familys
with a lot of potiecial.
We taught one lesson
where the son kept asking us question and each time he asked a question
it was the next thing we were going to talk about with them. It was one
of the smoothest lessons I´ve taught while I´ve been out here and we
just let the spirt work and just open up our mouths and let spirt talk
for us, It was one great lesson.
On Saturday
we ran into the Bisop here and he look at me and the other new
missionary and just said alright tomorrow I need you to to give a talk
that´s 10 to 15 mintues long. This is right after lunch right before we
get to to work, so sunday came quick and i had to give my first talk in
portugues without any time to prepare anything and had to go talk, It
went pretty good though, a lilttle nerve racking but turned out to be
pretty good. My comp said it happens a lot where we show up to church
and the Bisop looks at us for a talk and we have to do it pretty much
every month sometimes twice for every month. So pretty much after this
area you learn to give a talk at any time about anything.
