Last email

This is a crazy moment for me, one that i never thought would happen where i would be sending my last email here on the mission. It´s been amazing these last two years for me where i have learned and grown so much, so much i can write this day but I´ve been saving a scripture for this day to explain what i want to tell this day. It´s found in the book of 3 John first chapter, it says

13 I had many things to write, but I will not with ink and pen write unto thee:

14 But I trust I shall shortly see thee, and we shall speak face to face. Peace be to thee. Our friends salute thee. Greet the friends by name.

I can´t wait to talk to you guys here in a little. this next week when i see you guys again in person!

This week was a interesting week to the the truth, not because the work was any diferent or anything like that, but because this is the last week of my Mission President, Presidente Cruz, and his wife Sister Cruz, it was a sad week for one day because we had our last Zone conference with them, so that was a hard thing to do. They are amazing people that helped me out a lot during my time here in Brasil, I couldn´t ask for a better Mission because of my mission president.

As for the week it´s been interesing here in Brasil, as many people know, that Brasil loves soccer, so as you can imagain with the world cup how things are, when Brasil plays you don´t find anybody in the streets and you can´t even think about knocking on doors because nobody will let you in. So during these times it makes you try to do everything you can before and after the games. But what´s been amazing is that the Lord is blessing us even more during these hard times, right now is the cold season out here in Brasil, and normally it´s always raining and so cold that it sucks to even walk outside, but the Lord is helping out a ton during this cup that it´s not so cold and also not raining.

The week

What´s up how is everbody doing? It´s been a while since I´ve sent a group email, but today i have something really importante that i wanted to share with everybody today.

This last week I started to study a little bit more from the Bible trying to learn some new things that I can learn in my life, I started to study in 1 Kings, about King Soloman, and in the third chapter had some that caught my attention. Just to understand a little bit more about what´s happened, Soloman was just called to be the new king, and right when this started to happen the Lord apperared to him in a dream and said this. 

5 ¶ In Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dreamby night: and God said, Ask what I shall give thee.

6 And Solomon said, Thou hast shewed unto thy servant David my father great mercy, according as he walked before thee in truth, and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with thee; and thou hast kept for him this great kindness, that thou hast given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day.

7 And now, O Lord my God, thou hast made thy servant king instead of David my father: and I am but a little child: I know not how to go out or come in.

8 And thy servant is in the midst of thy people which thou hast chosen, a great people, that cannot be numbered nor counted for multitude.

9 Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?

10 And the speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing.

11 And God said unto him, Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for thyself long life; neither hast asked riches for thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine enemies; but hast asked for thyself understanding to discern judgment;

12 Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee.
When the Lord said unto Soloman he could have said anything that he wanted and the Lord could have given it to him, but that wasn´t what he did, first he was humble before the Lord, he was just ordained as King and had the most power in the land but said before the Lord that he was a little child, he knew that he couldn´t do this by himself, but needed the Lord and his blessings, Second he didn´t look after things of this world, what was he after, he was after wisdom, and most of all the gift of dicerment, to know how to rule his kingdom and judge acording to how the Lord would. With that kind of answer the Lord was pleased, and blessed him according to his desire, but also he did more, he gave them a gift to be greater then any other then before. 

When I read this something really touched me, and I started to think how would that have been if it was me and not Soloman in the vision, what would I have asked the Lord at that time, It´s important that we are always looking for the Lord first in everything we do, if we are doing that he will bless us in ways that we can´t even think about. 

How grateful I am for this mission that has helped me understand that lesson and countless others that I´ve learned over this short time here in Brasil. It´s the best thing that I could have done in my life where I´ve met some of the best people. it´s not always easy, but anything that´s worth it isn´t easy right.

What a amazing week this week was, the week was a busy one but what week isn´t anymore, I think any missionary can agree that time is different when your on the mission, it´s a lot faster, you are always on a race against time to get everything you need done. Things here are picking up even more, after the last General Conference our MP has put up even more in our mission to help out the Children of our HF. With the new temples in new areas, and having a new urgency, we know that the second coming is happing quicky, that´s why the church is having so many changes, and also a lot of changes in our mission where our mission president is asking up to go out of our comfort zone and really do our work in a better way.

But what a great way to learn more about faith, it´s only when you have to do more then what you are asked to do that you will really start to develpe more faith, and also recive the miracles that goes has stored for you, i can realy say that my faith has grown, that i know my Savior lives and loves each of us, and that this is his work, i love the life as a missionary.
